Life, Well Run offers a rich selection of resources to help raise awareness of and appreciation for everything professional local government managers do. Arguably the most fun resource we offer is the video template. Our newest submission comes from Community Liaison Lisa LaPlante and her colleagues in Kent County, Michigan.

Kent County is the economic and manufacturing center of Western Michigan, making it both a challenging and fulfilling community to serve. As an active member of the Life, Well Run campaign, the local government created this new video to share the value they bring to their county. From birth certificates and childhood vaccinations, to public safety and taking care of the elderly, Kent County did an amazing job of showing how local government services intersect with the everyday lives of their citizens.

Kent County Administrator Daryl Delabbio explains it best: “Having a passion for the community that you serve, for the profession that you serve – having that passion translates into outstanding outcomes and performance.”
