Esri, one of ICMA's Strategic Partners has offered us a great opportunity to engage in the development of an "app for that".  Esri needs your help in identifying the "that" for the app!  

With the phenomenal growth of smartphones and tablets, it seems everyone is talking about the latest app.  But for a lot of local government managers, trying to determine which app will work for their community and their organization presents a challenge.  This is a chance for you to tell app developers what you need or want from your experience!.

ICMA is partnering with its long-time Strategic Partner, Esri, to host a local government executive white boarding exercise where you can do just that.  Fifteen ICMA members will be selected to participate in the event to identify the data and design elements for apps.  This one-day exercise will be held at the Esri Campus in Redlands, CA on April 25, 2013.  The travel scholarship will pay for trip expenses to Redlands.

 You don’t have to be a tech geek to participate in this event, just someone who likes to uses technology to make life a bit better for all.
