Tuesday, November 28, is Giving Tuesday, a globally recognized day dedicated to celebrating the generosity of the people who support the causes they hold dear. ICMA takes this opportunity to salute the individuals and organizations that contribute to the Future of Professional Management Fund.  

The generosity of those contributors has enabled ICMA to fulfill the mission of the fund, which is to:

• Advocate for professional local government management.
• Support adoption and retention of the council-manager form of government.
• Raise public awareness of the profession.
• Inspire a future generation of local government leaders.

This year, ICMA provided financial support to five communities involved in form-of-government retention and adoption campaigns. It also used fund resources to continue telling the story of professionally managed communities through ICMA's Life, Well Run initiative.
