Spring is a season of renewal, and at ICMA, it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
I’m pleased to share that ICMA has moved into a new office at 660 North Capitol Street NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20001. Our continued presence in Washington, D.C., keeps us closer to key partners, visiting members, and international colleagues as we advance professional local government management.
Located in the vibrant NoMa neighborhood, we’re just steps from Union Station, the U.S. Capitol, national landmarks, and major transportation hubs, placing ICMA at the center of a diverse community where progress and impact converge. Being here reinforces our role as a connector, linking government professionals to local partners, global peers, and timely policy conversations that influence how communities are led and served. For members and partners, this means in-person exchanges that support the challenging work happening in communities across the country.
We look forward to opening our doors and offering members a setting that signifies the profession they lead and the future they’re shaping. ICMA’s executive leadership team will be onsite regularly, recognizing that our work and culture are strongest when people come together. If you’ll be in D.C., we welcome the chance to connect and will share details in the months ahead about opportunities to visit and gather at 660.
This next chapter reflects not only where we work, but how we lead and grow as an organization. As we embrace the energy of the season, ICMA’s forward momentum reinforces our ongoing commitment to supporting local government professionals who build and sustain thriving communities worldwide.
