Coming on May 15, the City Health Dashboard will give cities a powerful new online resource to dig deeper into neighborhood- and city-specific data for 36 measures on health and the factors that shape health for U.S. cities with populations over 70,000. This one-stop resource will pull together local data from multiple national sources so health officials and city leaders can view and compare city- and neighborhood-specific data to guide local solutions that create healthier and more equitable communities.

On May 3, 2018, from 1 pm to 2 pm EDT, ICMA and the National League of Cities will offer its networks an exclusive sneak peek of the City Health Dashboard’s new website. This opportunity will give participants a first look at the unique resource and a head start at understanding the types of data users can access to pinpoint the health challenges within their communities.

Note: This webinar is for ICMA and NLC networks only. All data and content is embargoed until the May 15, 2018, public release.

During this webinar:

  • Officials from NYU Langone Medical Center will provide an overview of the data and preview the website’s features - including how to explore and compare measures within your city as well as comparing your city to peer cities.
  • Pilot city representatives will share how they are already using the data to drive change in their communities.
  • Participants will explore resources such as recommended policies and programs, to take action in their communities and have the opportunity to ask questions about the dashboard.

Speakers:

  • Kitty Hsu Dana, National League of Cities.
  • Andrea Fox, International City/County Management Association.
  • Brittany Fitz Chapman, Prosper Waco, Waco, Texas.
  • Marc N. Gourevitch, MD, MPH, Department of Population Health at NYU Langone Medical Center.
