ICMA Executive Director Bob O'Neill sits down with Rebecca Ryan, economist, futurist, and humorist in the latest discussion as part of our Leading Ideas Series.

Rebecca Ryan discusses her upcoming book, ReGENERATION, and how managers can engage and learn from upcoming generations, and how to strengthen intergenerational cooperation to build better communities. In the conversation, O'Neill and Ryan discuss traits of successful communities, how to utilize entrepreneurs, the power of sense of place, qualify of life and how to measure it, what generations want, and generational economic cycles. Ryan was a keynote speaker at the 2011 ICMA Annual Conference in Milwaukee.

As with the previous videos, we’ve included the Leading Ideas Series Discussion Guide: Rebecca Ryan to help you get conversations started.
