Dianne Miller has decided to continue in her position as city administrator, Eagan, Minnesota, rather than assume the ICMA deputy director role she had previously accepted.

In sharing this decision, Dianne shared the following reflection "As the reality of leaving the community where I have spent my entire career settled in, I realized the call to be of service to Eagan was getting louder, and I am grateful to be able to rescind my resignation. ICMA is the backbone of our profession, and I will continue to support the organization and the current member-focused direction.” We wish Dianne well and appreciate that she recognized a deep calling to be in direct service to local communities.

ICMA will work with its search consultants to find the right candidate for the deputy director role and will provide updates as the search progresses.

"We respect Dianne's decision and are pleased she will continue her valuable work in Eagan," said Julia D. Novak, ICMA CEO/ED. "Her leadership in Eagan is a tremendous asset to ICMA and the communities we serve."
