Rashad Young, city manager, Alexandria, Virginia, was elected as a 2013 National Academy of Public Administration Fellow. Election to the National Academy is one of the highest honors for those engaged in the study or practice of public administration.

The 750-plus Fellows of the Academy possess an unmatched wealth of experience and serve as the cornerstone of the organization by contributing valuable oversight to the Academy's projects and programs. New Fellows are elected by the entire membership after a rigorous nomination process that takes place each spring. They are inducted as Fellows at the Academy’s Fall Meeting held each November.
