Uninsured Americans will be able to use the new health insurance marketplace starting on October 1 to select a plan and find out what it will cost. Those who are comfortable with technology should be able to complete the sign up process within 30 minutes. A 24-hour call center also is available at 1-800-318-2596 to assist individuals.
