As wildfires rage across the western portion of the United States, new methods must be implemented to combat the growing length of the wildfire season. San Diego County has implemented a massive helicopter called “Goliath,” that can carry up to 2,500 gallons of water – roughly six times the amount of the normal fire and rescue helicopters. The county never lets the water tank get below 1,000 gallons and it can be up in the air in 30 minutes.

More details on the Goliath can be found here.
