The City of Fort Collins announces the launch of a new online tool that measures the community’s progress in attaining key outcomes. The Community Dashboard is found at www.fcgov.com/metrics. Key metrics such as voluntary code compliance, net percent change in local jobs, community energy use, number of local traffic crashes, and transit passengers per revenue hour are measured and monitored so the City can adapt certain programs to ensure targets are met and improve performance where necessary.

Darin Atteberry, City Manager, states, “The City of Fort Collins is an open, data-driven organization focused on results. The Dashboard’s metrics will provide City staff and the community with quarterly progress updates, based on specific data that we can track and respond to quickly.”

Over the last decade, the City organization has undergone transformational change, deliberately embracing transparency, accountability and continuous improvement. The Community Dashboard is one of a number of online tools citizens are encouraged to use in order to learn more about their City government and its performance.

The Community Dashboard will be updated quarterly with the most current data available. The new online tool joins numerous resources and reports that track how the City spends money, implements programs, and serves the community:
