As a major effort to ramp up its Next Generation programming, ICMA provides funding to the Cal-ICMA Coaching Program to help bring coaching resources to other State Associations. The Coaching Program delivers six webinars on leadership and career development topics that are available free of charge to any employee of a local government affiliated with a participating State Association. The Coaching Program also offers the monthly Career Compass columns that are distributed to all Association members and the employees of their jurisdictions. Cal-ICMA provides assistance so that associations can provide Speed Coaching at conferences and develop one-to-one coaching match-ups.

- Oklahoma

- Texas
- Wisconsin
With underwriting from ICMA and other sponsors, Cal-ICMA is able to offer State Associations a discounted participation fee ($5,000 per year).
