Whether you are an aspiring local government manager,  current manager, or staff, now is the time to apply for the Emerging Leaders Development Program (ELDP). 

ELDP provides participants with the tools to help you on the path to city/county leadership positions, starting with a credentialed manager to serve as a career coach.  It gives participants the opportunity to enhance their leadership and management skills while forming a collegial learning community with their peers.

The two-year Emerging Leaders Professional Development Program (ELDP) for a one-time application fee of $500, ICMA members; $800, non members,  features:

• Completion of the ICMA Essential Management Skills Certificate
• A credentialed manager to serve as a career coach for two years
• Convenient teleseminars with leading public administration professors or credentialed managers
• Management Application Project that you design to demonstrate what you have learned and accomplished as a result of the program and that benefits your community or organization.

Before applying, complete the Applied Knowledge Assessment (at a cost of $75), an online, easy-to-use instrument that helps you determine your professional strengths and areas for improvement.

Participants will benefit from interactive learning, superlative instructors, networking with your colleagues, and engaging discussions of key management and leadership issues. As in the past, we are limiting enrollment to provide a small group learning community of future leaders.
