As ICMA works to expand its professional resource library, staff have heard from many of you that guidance around elected officials and their use of social media is a high priority. To support members, staff are collecting examples of policies from local governments that govern or guide how elected officials use social media. If your organization has a policy or set of guidelines in place, consider sharing it with your peers by emailing it to outreach@icma.org. Your contributions will help staff build a centralized toolkit to benefit all members.
