I hope everyone is having as great of a conference experience as I am!  As always, it's great to learn, reconnect, and get inspired...but this year is so special, as we celebrate and reflect on our first 100 years.  The future is so bright and I'm proud to be a part of it.  It's an exciting time to be an ICMA member!

Our profession's success is no accident, and as we embark on the next 100 years, it is our responsibility to continue the tradition of supporting the core values of professional local government management. That's why Life, Well Run and the Fund for Professional Management is so important.

Tonight at 6pm at the Westin Grand Ballroom C, we will honor supporters of Life, Well Run and the Fund for Professional Management with a Donor Recognition Reception.  But this isn't just any typical Monday night reception...tonight, we're also goin' racin'!  You'll be able to channel your inner NASCAR driver and race on a mini remote control racetrack.  Don't worry, there are really no winners or losers in this race...just a great time and a fun way for you to support Life, Well Run and the Fund.

Not a donor? No problem! Everyone is welcome...and it's your golden opportunity to become a new supporter!  And you will get to hear me take a try at outdoing all those good ol' boys on TV as one of your emcees, along with my friends Jerry Newfarmer and Jane Bais-DiSessa. I'm sure I'll get to post some very fun pictures on Twitter (@kepinkos)!

I hope to see you at the "track"...and around the conference!
