The ICMA Center for Performance Measurement™ is assisting a research project conducted by Carolyn Hanaway, a doctoral student at North Carolina State University. The goal of this project is to identify which management practices and tools have the greatest impact on service delivery.  The survey consists of questions in two service areas: highways and road maintenance and youth services, and should take about 20 minutes to complete.

Primary coordinators will be contacted directly with an email containing information on accessing the survey through a link that will allow you to return it over a secure connection.  In all cases, all responses will be kept strictly confidential, and you and your organization will never be identified.

If you are a department head in a road maintenance or youth service agency and would like to participate in this research project please follow the links below and complete the appropriate survey.

The information you provide will be very valuable to local government management and if you complete the survey, you will receive a summary of which management practices are most widely used, and which practices your peers have found to be most effective based on available data.
