The City of Bethany, Oklahoma is accepting resumes for the position of City Manager. The City of Bethany is a Council-Manager form of government comprised of Eight (8) Council Members and a Mayor. The City of Bethany has a population of just under 20,000 residents and is just over 5 square miles in geographical area. The City has 128 full-time employees. The City of Bethany provides a full array of municipal services including Administration, Finance, Community Development, Economic Development, Public Works, Police and Fire/Rescue Services.
The qualification for the position are graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in public or business administration, political science or a closely related field; supplemented by a master’s degree in public or business administration or closely related field; thorough experience in municipal management including experience as an Assistant City/City Manager in a larger municipality; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of municipal government.
