Section 58:10B-13 of the New Jersey Statutes sets forth procedures governing remediation of properties to nonresidential standards and the use of institutional controls (ICs) or engineering controls (ECs) as an alternative to meeting unrestricted use remediation standards. The section mandates the implementation of controls necessary to prevent exposure to residual contamination and establishes procedures to ensure that public and private parties are aware of the presence of residual contamination. The section also includes procedures for monitoring restricted sites and procedures for removing ICs and ECs.
