Latrobe City’s Indigenous Employment Program is a unique system, which works to help bring more jobs and new opportunities to the local indigenous community. The city partnered with local businesses to diversify career opportunities and help match indigenous residents to the best jobs for them, some even with the city. The program assists participants with all aspects of the job finding process including, pre-employment training, negotiating positions and wages with employers, finding new employers, and providing cross-cultural training to relevant employers.
