Innovation in Public Management: What the Future Will Demand of Us

Managers must help to ensure that the tools, the training, the equipment, and the human infrastructure of systems and processes are provided for local governments to operate effectively after innovations are in place and up and running. It is the manager’s task to integrate and empower employees, citizens, businesspeople, and elected leaders in the process of continuously identifying and improving innovations.
