Looking for studies re: impact of different business types on law enforcement services

Pamela Davis ASKED

I am looking for one or more studies which explore whether there is a correlation between different business types and criminal activity (or demand on law enforcement services).  For example, common sense might suggest that shoe stores have less criminal activity, and thus less demand on law enforcement services, than pawn shops, or that bars have more criminal activity than restaurants.  I am trying to find any study (or studies) that investigate this and that may, or may not, back this up.

Any help in this regard would be most appreciated.
