Intranet Data Governance

We are rolling out a new intranet system. Part of this process includes reevaluating key policies regarding data governance on the intranet.  The three main areas we are looking at include:

  1. Employee Interaction
    • Interactive/social vs. static content
    • Examples: Forums, Comments, Likes
  2. Content Creation & Approval
  • Centralized (one person/committee) vs. decentralized (department reps) vs. hybrid
  • Consider different approaches for different areas (i.e... department content vs official content)
  1. Business Process Improvements
    • Process and authority for addressing needed changes
    • Example: Directory Updates and Photos
