Summary

The Town of Hooksett, NH (approx. population 14,000) is seeking a creative, proactive community oriented leader to serve as its next Town Administrator. Located within an hour’s drive from New Hampshire’s beautiful Seacoast, Lakes Region, White Mountains and Boston, MA. NH’s largest city, Manchester, borders to the South and NH’s capital, Concord, to the North. Hooksett is within a 15 minute drive to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. With direct access to major highways (Routes 93, 3 & 101), Hooksett has a thriving retail, hospitality and business presence yet has managed to retain its small town charm along the banks of the Merrimack River. Reporting to a 9 member Town Council, the Town Administrator oversees 128 FT/37 PT employees and an operating budget of nearly $26 mil. Position requires experience and knowledge of local government operations, with demonstrated ability in finance & budgeting, labor relations, staff development, community & economic development and community problem solving. Strong written/verbal skills essential. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree and demonstrated success in progressive municipal management, economic development and leadership positions preferred.
