POLICE LEGAL ADVISOR (RC#900837)

Annual Salary Ranges: $109,126 to $147,320
This position is unclassified, which means the employee or the City can terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any or no reason, with or without cause or notice.
The candidate filling this position may work nights, weekends, holidays or on-call as required to fulfill the essential functions of the job.
Requires the equivalent of five years of full-time professional legal attorney experience as a police legal advisor, public prosecutor, deputy state attorney general, assistant city attorney, or equivalent legal experience with an emphasis on criminal justice, or other experience directly related to the core functions of this position.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Requires a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
Membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.
Successful completion of initial probationary period is contingent upon passing an FBI background investigation. Based on position, referred applicants may be subject to additional testing which may include pre-employment polygraph, physical and drug screening.
