The Village of Little Chute (pop. 10,987) is a growing, dynamic community located in Outagamie County, Wisconsin. Due to retirement, the Village of Little Chute is seeking a dedicated leader with financial management experience for the position of Finance Director.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Village Board and Administrator, this department head level position is responsible for leading and supervising employees of the finance department, as well as championing municipal fiscal planning and controls by providing financial statements, analytical reports, cost studies, budgetary controls, and related managerial information, including investing village funds and other related activities. This position is directly responsible creating annual budget and capital improvement documents, tax roll, and account balancing. Assignments are performed with considerable independence, particularly on the financial management aspects of all village activities. The successful candidate must possess a thorough knowledge of accounting and administrative principles with an advanced knowledge of federal, state, and municipal laws relating to the financial operations of a municipality. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a closely related field, and three to five years of progressively responsible experience in governmental financing, accounting, or public administration, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree or certification (such as a CPA license or MBA) is preferred but not required, as well as a minimum of three to five years of leadership experience in accounting and financial management.

Hours: This is a full time, exempt position with typical hours from 8 AM through 4:30 PM, as well as occasional evening hours for official meetings.

Salary: Dependent upon qualifications.
