Summary

Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania (15,810), a home rule charter township, seeks a detail-oriented, fiscal leader to join its team. Reporting directly to the Township Manager, the position will oversee the daily financial role that includes an approximate $6M Operating Budget and $5.5M Capital Budget, perform township annual tax collections, and maintain high quality fiscal budgeting and accounting. Ideal candidates shall have prior budgeting experience, preferably in the municipal sector, and knowledge of multi-fund accounting. The Township was awarded State funding for a Transit Revitalization Investment District (TRID) under Act 151, and the Director shall oversee accounting compliance, as well as assist the Township in pending bond funding issuance, which may also include the redevelopment of the former Roosevelt School into a community center.
Ideal candidates shall have 5-10 years of progressive financial experience, possess a strong understanding of GASB and GFOA guidelines and best practices, prior demonstrated experience as a team-oriented solutions provider that can manage a small staff. Proficiency in Microsoft suite of application solutions preferred, with the ability to quickly learn proprietary software applications. Bachelor’s Degree is Finance, Business, Accounting or related field; MPA/MBA preferred. Salary range of $89,539 - $108,834 depending on qualifications and experience; competitive fringe benefits.
