The position is responsible for executive leadership and overall direction to
County Department Directors, including providing guidance to the Board of County Commissioners on policies and procedures, administering the annual budget, and working with citizen groups.
Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of related responsible administrative/ management and supervisory experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of related responsible administrative/management and supervisory experience. Previous Florida governmental experience strongly preferred. Must reside within Hernando County. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and be insurable by current insurance carrier.
