The City of Lompoc, California (pop. 43,000) is seeking candidates for Community Development Director. The position is the executive manager responsible for coordinating the activities of current and advanced planning, economic development, building inspection, recreation, and various federal and state grant programs The incumbent receives direction from and is responsible to the City Manager for day-to-day operations.
Typical Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in urban and regional planning, or related field and five (5) years progressively responsible professional level experience in urban planning or community development, including at least three (3) years in a management capacity in local government. Master's Degree is desirable.
