The City of Cambridge is a growing and dynamic City that was established in 1684 and is the county seat of Dorchester County. The City of Cambridge is seeking a visionary but grounded leader with an energetic, results-oriented, diplomatic candidate with strong team building and customer service skills for the position of City Manager. The City Manager is responsible for the general management of day to day operations, including administrative affairs, planning, budget development and the implementation of services programs in all departments of the City. The ideal candidate must be ethical, forward thinking, and committed to the continual improvement of the organization. The candidate must possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or a post-baccalaureate degree in another closely related field. All candidates for the position shall also have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a City/County Manager or Assistant City/County. Residency is desired.
