The hiring salary for this position is between $3,592.92 and $4,491.17 per month.

Airport Customer Relations Coordinator

In this position, you will develop, implement, and manage customer service programs and services for the Airport (Colorado Springs Airport).

Essential Job Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
Coordinate all aspects of customer service at the Airport, including terminal programs (such as the pet therapy program) and programs that provide goodwill and hospitality to passengers, customers, and visitors
Oversee the Thanks Again Program and other passenger service initiatives
Oversee the Premier Lounge operations and membership programs
Manage and oversee the Airport Art Program; monitor art inventory and the art displays program
Identify contacts within local school districts and artistic organizations; work with contacts to obtain and curate art work for display at the Airport
Supervise customer service representatives staffing the lounge
Supervise and oversee volunteer ambassadors, including working with the City's volunteer coordinator; plan events for ambassadors, including recognition for years of service
Develop and maintain lounge food and beverage inventory, including evaluating costs and expenses; identify cost saving alternatives
Plan, coordinate, and execute airport tours
Plan special events to raise awareness of airport services, including airline inaugural flight and other special events (Airstrip Attack, etc); plan events in the terminal for the holiday season
Support airport public relations and communications
Build a rapport with airport tenants; develop, maintain, and publish a quarterly newsletter
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Knowledge of:
Modern office procedure and equipment, including computers and supporting software
Airport services and activities
Hospitality industry
Ability to:
Provide excellent customer service under stressful conditions
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
Successful candidate will have:
A high school diploma or GED supplemented by specialized training in current office support functions and procedures
Three years of full-time experience in program coordination related to marketing, executive support, or hospitality management
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience working in a relevant customer service oriented field with face-to-face interactions
Experience in event planning
Experience maintaining a membership-based program
Supervision Exercised: This position requires the oversight and direction of volunteers, helpers, assistants, seasonal employees, interns, and/or temporary employees.

Fiscal Responsibility: You will be responsible for monitoring budget/fiscal expenditures (typically non discretionary) for the work unit and/or responsibility for fiscal management of capital project(s).

Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids: Computer, printer, copier, telephone, and standard office equipment.

Specialized Computer Equipment and Software: Microsoft Office.

Additional Information:
The selected candidate must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration.

Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently and walking or standing to a significant degree.
