Tisbury, MA (4,815 pop.), is seeking a skilled and seasoned municipal leader with proficient municipal finance knowledge capable of navigating the town through potentially challenging fiscal times and major community projects to serve as its next Town Administrator. This beautiful island community, located on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, is home to generations of families, year-round and seasonal, and has a diverse population, including a burgeoning population with Brazilian heritage. All enjoy its seaside charm, outdoor recreation, and small-town atmosphere complete with a bustling downtown and working harbor. Tisbury is led by a three-member Select Board, has an Open Town Meeting form of government, and a FY25 operating budget of a little over $40M. Candidates should be accomplished communicators, have proficient operational skills, be morale builders and motivators, and be able to manage teams and multiple projects. Due to Tisbury’s island location, the Town Administrator will be afforded the opportunity to respond to global challenges, such as climate resiliency, water quality, aquaculture, and tourism. A bachelor’s degree and minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience, exhibiting progressive advancement as a manager, preferably in a municipal setting. Preferred candidates will have experience as a town manager/administrator or assistant town manager/administrator. The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package including health and retirement plans.

Annual salary: $200K+/- DOQ. EOE.
