Town Manager

Town of Sebago, ME

The Town of Sebago, Maine is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Town Manager. Sebago is a rural four-season community located on Sebago Lake, close to urban and recreational opportunities. Sebago is a growing community with several small villages and a population of 1,900 that seasonally increases to around 5,000.

Sebago has a Town Manager/Selectboard/Town Meeting form of government. Sebago has a current total budget of $7.1 million including schools with 10 FT/PT municipal employees.

The Board is seeking an individual with strong budget and financial management skills, experience in personnel management, grant preparation and administration, and experience with road reconstruction and maintenance. Experience in planning, economic development and growth issues is important. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, a positive attitude, and demonstrated leadership ability. A transparent, collaborative and team-oriented management style will also be a priority. A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or similar relevant field is preferred, and experience in Town Management, executive municipal management and finance or comparable experience is a plus.
