Professional work planning, organizing, facilitating, and directing the Cultural Affairs Department. Coordinating interface between the Pompano Beach Arts Foundation and city government in various administrative areas. Developing cultural arts programming for various needs and development of cultural facilities. Develops and implements programs/materials to promote the image and awareness of Pompano Beach as a city-wide cultural district. Prioritizes long-range issues affecting cultural growth, forges partnerships to address them. Develops and issues proposal guidelines, pre-application consultation meetings, grants panel selection and orientation, panel review and recommendations, approvals by Commission and issuance of contracts and monitoring of project compliance for grant programs. Identifies/implements strategies for recurring revenues. Assesses and prioritizes city efforts to support cultural facilities and infrastructure needs. City government liaison with various organizations. Coordinates meetings and their components. Provides high-level strategic planning. Ensures sound financial management and overseeing Cultural Affairs’ annual budget. Produces monthly event calendar.
