Kinsley, Kansas (pop. 1,376; $3.2 M budget; 11 FTE’s) the county seat of Edwards County is located at the junctions of U.S. Highways 50, 56, and 183. The Kinsley community offers great schools, excellent health care facilities, and local historical attractions.

The City Manager reports to a progressive five-member commission and oversees the day-to-day operations of the city which include water, sewer, refuse, street maintenance, parks, swimming pool, code enforcement, airport operations, and fire department. The governing body is looking for dynamic candidates who possess excellent public relations and personnel management skills. And has knowledge of public finance, budgeting and local government laws. This team-oriented leader will promote economic development initiatives, transparency in government, and positive intergovernmental relations. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills with a history of sound decision-making ability and problem solving. And be adept in researching and analyzing policy and grants. Three (3) years of management experience and a bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field is preferred. Competitive benefits; Salary $50,000 - $65,000 DOQ.
