The Housing Innovation Manager is a high-profile position in the City of Durango organization with ample opportunities for the right individual to make a big impact on community vitality and equity. The position is responsible for creating, implementing, and administering community housing initiatives towards the goal of maintaining and enhancing quality of life in Durango. This individual will lead the implementation of programs to accomplish the community’s housing policies, as identified in the 2018 Housing Plan and other planning documents. The position initiates and oversees a wide range of programs to achieve adopted housing goals. This individual must be ready to work collaboratively with established community partners and seek out new partnership opportunities on a local, state, and federal level.
The position is within the Community Development Department, which provides planning, business development, building, arts & culture, and sustainability services in a professional and friendly manner to enhance and protect the quality of life, sense of community, well-being and prosperity of the city’s residents, businesses and visitors.
