The Township operates with a $48M operating budget and is governed under the Township form of government with a five-member Township Committee. We are searching for our next Assistant Township Administrator. The Assistant Township Administrator serves as a key partner in helping Township Administrator shape the Township’s organizational culture and implement the Township’s mission and vision consistent with the policies put forth by the Township Committee. They will report to the Township Administrator while providing executive and managerial oversight to various department directors, and other staff as assigned by the Township Administrator. They will exercise direct and indirect supervision over assigned areas, including professional, technical and support personnel.
Requirements include graduation from a regionally accredited four-year college or university with a major in public administration and a Master’s Degree (MPA/MPP strongly preferred). Demonstrated experience in, or knowledge of, in public administration/local government operations preferred. Non-governmental management experience will be evaluated in conjunction with other resume factors. An understanding of, and willingness to comply with, the International City/County Management Code of Ethics and accompanying guidelines is required.
