ICMA Regional Conference Twitter Contest

The ICMA Regional Conerence is a place to connect with other local government leaders. While every minute at an ICMA Regional Conference is an opportunity for you to network, the new ICMA Regional Conference Twitter Contest is tailored for you to socialize and introduce you to new contacts.

What it is: Prior to the Regional Conference, ICMA staff will select several registrants as an ICMA Ambassador of the Conference. These individuals are passionate about local government as well as ICMA programs and services, and will wear a designated badge throughout the two-day event so attendees know who they can initially connect with.

Upon arrival of the Regional Conference, all attendees will receive a welcome packet that includes a yearbook-style page of photos of the ICMA Ambassadors who are at the event – this yearbook will highlight areas of expertise that other’s might want to learn more about.

How to win: To enter the contest, attendees must network with the assigned Ambassadors. For proof, take a photo of yourself with an ICMA Ambassador and post it to Twitter using the dedicated hashtag #ICMARegional. The attendee who networked with the most Ambassadors will receive free registration to the 2019 ICMA Regional Conference. The Ambassador who has the most photos tweeted will also be rewarded with a prize.

More information about the contest will be provided at the ICMA Regional Conference. If you are interested in becoming an ICMA Ambassador for this event, please email sferrigno@icma.org
