Nominations, Governance, and membership Committee 

(from the Cal-ICMA By-Laws; Article 8; Section 4)

The Cal-ICMA Bylaws specify that the Nominations & Governance Committee shall be composed of no fewer than five (5) full members of the collaborative. In the selection of members, consideration will be given to such representation factors as agency size, geographical location and  membership profile (e.g., city, county, academic, etc.). Committee members’ terms of office shall be two (2) years. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

a) nominate Cal-ICMA members for Cal-ICMA board positions (except Cal-ICMA board members appointed by other coordinating organizations) and forward those nominations to board for board action;

b) nominate Cal-ICMA members for ICMA leadership position (including the West Coast Vice President positions) and all other ICMA leadership positions, assignment and appointments;

c) nominate Cal-ICMA members for awards or recognition opportunities offered through ICMA and forward nomination to Board for Board action; and

d) Recommend any Cal-ICMA by-law changes to the Board for possible adoption (per Article 9 “By-Law Amendments”)
