ICMA members and affiliates are invited to attend the fifth annual International Regional Conference February 12-15 in Tel Aviv, Israel. This networking and professional development event will take place in conjunction with meetings of the ICMA Executive Board and the ICMA International Committee and will include participation in the Muni World 2018 conference. Participants can extend their experience with optional tours of Jerusalem, Mosada, Ein Gedi, and the Dead Sea.
The conference schedule includes meetings and meal events with the ICMA International Committee and the ICMA Executive Board, Muni World 2018 Conference sessions on “Smart Cities Under Attack” and “Building an Effective Urban Ecosystem,” meetings with Senior officials in Tel Aviv and a tour of the city, and a gala dinner hosted by the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel. Following the conference, participants can take advantage of optional tours to Jerusalem, Masada, Ein Gedi, and the Dead Sea. Download the tentative schedule.
Participants are responsible for airfare, hotel expenses, meals/incidentals (with the exception of hosted meals noted in the conference schedule), and costs related to the optional tours. For the tours, each participant’s share of transportation costs, tour guide, and interpreter is being finalized and will be provided as soon as available.

Passport and Visa Requirements
For travel to Israel, U.S. citizens need a passport that is valid for a period of six months after the date of entry. U.S. citizens do not need a visa.
