The ICMA Research and Development team connects you to the research and tools you need to better serve your community. We work with a wide array of strategic partners—federal agencies, foundations, corporations, and others—to identify and analyze critical issues facing local governments. Armed with data, we then identify and further develop best practices that you can apply to your jurisdiction. What makes ICMA unique is our ability to tap into our network of over 9,000 local government leaders who are the city, town, and county managers who confront these issues every day. They know what works.
