SCCCMA Amicus Curiae Brief Filed

Case of Michael Cunningham v. Anderson County

On July 16, 2011, the SCCCMA membership voted for the Association to work with the law firm of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP to file an Amicus Curiae Brief in the Michael Cunningham versus Anderson County lawsuit. The Brief represents the Association’s position with respect to certain issues involved in the lawsuit. On January 13, 2012, the Association conditionally filed the Brief with the Association’s Motion for Leave to File the Brief. The Brief’s acceptance for filing is discretionary with the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Please click here for a copy of the Motion and the Brief.
