The Center for Sustainable Communities works with federal agencies and private foundations on funded projects on a wide range of issues related to sustainability, including renewable energy, brownfield redevelopment, environmental assistance, and local government customer service.
Currently funded projects include:
-National Brownfields Conference – The National Brownfields Conference is the largest, most comprehensive conference focused on cleaning up and redeveloping abandoned, underutilized, and potentially contaminated properties in the nation.
-SunShot Solar Outreach Partnership – ICMA is working with several partners to help increase the adoption of solar energy technologies in communities across the country.
-Local Government Environmental Assistance Network – The Local Government Environmental Assistance Network (LGEAN) provides environmental management, planning, funding, and regulatory information for local government officials and staff.
-ICMA National Study of 311 and Customer Service Technology - ICMA is conducting research and developing new resources and tools for jurisdictions considering implementation and maintenance of 311/CRM systems.
