The Center for Management Strategies assists local government managers in identifying and implementing those leading practices that can address organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The Center delivers the latest research and validated techniques through quality educational programming and technical assistance to help local governments enhance their delivery of high quality service products that are valued by the stakeholders in their communities.
The Center will initially focus on the leading practices of High Performance Organization Theory and Priority Based Budgeting/ Fiscal Health and Wellness, two proven leading practices for local governments. ICMA has identified the Commonwealth Centers for High Performance Organizations and the Center for Priority Based Budgeting as preferred providers in these critical approaches to organizational management.
The Center will soon be delivering products and services in the leading practice areas of citizen engagement and community building and shared resources/services, capitalizing on collaborations with organizations and service providers that are leaders in these areas.
