On-site training is an excellent way not only to acquaint jurisdiction and CPM staff with each other and with their respective operations, but also to motivate and energize jurisdiction staff about comparative performance measurement. Staff members in the new jurisdiction are provided:
- A brief overview of CPM and performance measurement in general
- Small group meetings for each service area to familiarize personnel with template questions and discuss exceptions that may apply to the jurisdiction
- A separate meeting with the manager/administrator and department heads to discuss how performance measurement will make a positive difference in their community.
