In addition to the three pilot ICMA Student Chapters, eight additional universities established chapters during the fall. The complete roster of chapters is:
ICMA is creating program content that engages and excites current MPA / MPP students about the profession of city/county management. Through ICMA Student Chapters, we also hope to attract undergraduate students who are interested in public service, but may not be aware of career possibilities in local government.
Each chapter will soon have groups in ICMA’s Knowledge Network, where chapter members will be able to engage with members from other universities as well as professionals in the field. By establishing a chapter, universities provide unlimited student membership to all students enrolled in the chapter.
