What can I do?

Take a new administrator in your state out to coffee and share our First-Time Administrator’s Handbook.
Cover your staff’s ICMA dues, giving them the nationwide network and resources that will foster their growth and enhance the skills they bring to your organization.
Become a Legacy Leader, a program that recognizes credentialed managers who recruit emerging leaders. Or, sign the pledge to promote our Next Generation Initiatives so we can recognize your success.
Encourage the successor to a city or county manager or assistant manager in your area to join ICMA.
