Our EECBG project focused on replacing exterior lamps with induction lamps. The significant energy savings adn much lower upfront costs than LED helped make our decision. Has anyone else had success with induction lighting?

I am researching the costs and benefits of moving from the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code/IRC to the 2012 versions. I would like to share information on the expected energy savings gained in using R-20 wall insulation instead of R-13, and using R-49 ceiling insulation instead of R-38. I am also reviewing future vehicle purchases to determine an optimal fuel. We currently have a small compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station, limited propane storage facilities, and petroleum fueling stations. Would like opinions and information on the viability of CNG fleet vehicles.

Mark Abeles-Allison

Mark Abeles-Allison Our CNG station is almost completely up and running. We have about 20% of our courthouse fleet running on CNG. Forestry, Land Conservation and General Fleet vehicles, bi-fuel and dedicated. I am very optimistic so far. Being the only station within 150 miles is a bit of an issue, travel within the county however, and having some bi-fuel, cng / gasoline vehicles helps.

I am happy to discuss with anyone, ideas and solutions on saving on electricity for exterior lighting and controls. Phone is 251-279-9985.

I'd like to communicate with ICMA members who are also involved in the passive house movement.

As a life-long community volunteer, DDA Board of Directors, School Board President, School of the Arts President, and more, I am excited to bring magnetic induction lighting to communities. This workhorse technology will reduce energy consumption 50-75%, eliminate maintenance, and light for 20 years (12 hours per day). Mainly undiscovered but real-world proven. Cities need to know about induction!

HUD currently has a proposal to conduct an FHA Home Energy Retrofit Loan Pilot Program
(Retrofit Pilot Program or Pilot Program)
known as FHA PowerSaver. Under the Program,HUD, through FHA-approved lenders,
will insure loans for homeowners who
are seeking to make energy
improvements to their homes. For more information see http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2010/pdf/2010-28015.pdf.
