The Upper Arlington, Ohio, environmental mediation program was nominated to the 2005 ICMA Annual Awards Program. This narrative decribes the program--initiated in response a high number of property maintenance, zoning, and nuisance violations being prosecuted in the courts--that facilitates complaint resolution outside the court system.
