Compensation, Severance, and Bonus Issues: Are We on Main Street or Wall Street?

Especially in tough economic times, the public wants financial resources to be spent in the most conscientious fashion. In order to eliminate any perceptions that managers are receiving undue Wall-Street-like salaries, benefits, and/or severance, this article provides ICMA members with advice on how to handle issues revolving around contract negotiations.
