This Knowledge Network Takeaway details four case studies describing partnerships between local governments and private organizations that regularly utilize parks and recreation facilities. The agreements highlighted are from Montgomery County, Md.; the City of Mesa, Ariz.; the City of Pierre, S.D.; and the City of Plano, Tex. The deals in place pertain to a wide variety of organizations and make use of several types of local facilities. While these arrangements share similar legal language, their terms vary greatly.
